Police say they are treating an assault in north Belfast on Saturday morning as sectarian.

A 48-year-old man was attacked in Tennent Street just before 6.30am on Saturday.

He suffered a broken jaw and a suspected broken nose.

His injuries are not believed to be serious.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
