Spamount Street was closed to traffic and homes evacuated on Monday morning while police and army bomb experts dealt with a suspect object.

The alert ended in the afternoon and residents were allowed to return to their homes.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about this incident - or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Spamount Street area - to contact them.
