A woman has escaped injury in a petrol bomb attack in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.

Police received a report that three petrol bombs were thrown at a house in Derrycoole Way, Rathcoole at 3.40am on Saturday.

The attack caused scorch damage to a car parked outside the house.

A PSNI spokesman said a motive for the attack hasn't yet been established.
