Demands for a public inquiry into how a pensioner suffered 34 broken bones after her death are to intensify.
The family of Maureen McGinley, 78, from Strabane, Co. Tyrone are to meet with the deputy Northern Ireland Secretary Paul Goggins in Belfast on Tuesday.
Health minister Michael McGimpsey is also expected to attend the talks at Stormont House.
Mother-of-eight Mrs McGinley died of pneumonia in Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry in January 2007.
Later dozens of fractures were found on her body, but the health authorities as well as a coroner who conducted an inquest were unable to establish who was responsible.
Mr McGimpsey said a new investigation was unlikely to shed any new light on the circumstances of the injuries, but backed by a petition signed by 15,500 people, the McGinley family have insisted that Mr Goggins must agree to a fresh inquiry.
Son James, 53, who is also from Strabane said: "This matter will never rest until there is a public inquiry.
"The authorities not only owe that to the family but also to the many thousands who signed the petition. Those people are just as anxious as we are to find out what happened to my mother's body."
