A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after a hit-and-run involving a motorcycle outside Dromore in Co Down.

The incident happened on the A1 heading south bound outside the town on Friday night.

Police are investigating the incident. They have asked anyone who was travelling in the area between 8pm and 8.15pm to contact them in Banbridge.

Meanwhile there has been a serious two-vehicle collision in Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone.

The crash happened on the Belfast Road before 8.30pm.

A PSNI spokeswoman said diversions are in place at Fivemiletown and Brookeborough, through Tempo.

Police have appealed for information.
