Four fire engines and police attended at Westbank Road where workmen punctured a gas main at around 10am on Friday.

A 50 metre cordon was in place while the area was made safe.

A NIFRS spokesperson confirmed the issue was resolved and the scene was handed over to Phoenix Gas at 11.30am.

It is worth a mention that all through the troubles and recent, bomb scares, hoaxes, gas leaks and evacuations of their offices that I have always got my parcels and letters. I have never had a letter or parcel gone missing and the post is usually on time and often early. We have a great postal service in Northern Ireland and I have every confidence that things will be back to normal very soon.
