A 35-year-old man was attacked in a house in the Killymoon Street area shortly before 10.25pm on Monday.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are described as serious, but not life-threatening.
The men, aged 22 and 30, are helping police with their inquiries.
Meanwhile two 34-year-old men are being questioned about an attack in Antrim.
A 48-year-old man was seriously assaulted at a premises in the Railway Street area of the town on Monday.
He is also in hospital receiving treatment for facial injuries.
