Ammunition was found during the searches which took place in the Aldervale area on Thursday night.
A firework was also set off during the disturbances, and police recovered a quantity of ammunition.
Craigavon Area Commander, Chief Inspector Anthony McNally said: "It was disappointing and disheartening to see a small group of people attack police officers who were there to protect the public and make the area safer.
"The mindless thuggery of these few will not prevent us from delivering a protective service to the local community.
"On this occasion we were able to remove a quantity of ammunition from the community.
"We will continue to tackle criminality wherever it occurs and would ask for the continued support of local residents," he added.
