It happened in the Brownlow area on Wednesday night.

Officers were arresting a 22-year-old man who is charged with burglary when they came under attack with paint and missiles.

Area Commander for Craigavon, Chief Inspector Anthony McNally, said it's the second time this has happened in recent weeks.

"The local community have asked us to deal with burglary as a priority and this is the second time in a number of weeks that we have been attacked when doing just that," he explained.

"Despite the attempts by a small minority to deter us, we were able to recover stolen property and effect an arrest. We will continue to deliver this professional service to the community in Craigavon and tackle the issues that matter to them, would also ask that for us in order."
