The suspect was arrested on Tuesday morning and taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station for questioning.
Police were granted a further 36 hours on Wednesday to question the man, who is from Dromore.
The three women all died in suspicious circumstances. Michelle Bickerstaff, 47, died in April last year; Margaret Weise, 50, died in August 2007 and 52-year-old Elizabeth McKee died in December 2002.
The suspect was also arrested for a number of other offences in relation to other women.
It is believed the man was known to all three women.
Police confirmed on Tuesday that a man in his 60s was arrested at the time of Ms Bickerstaff's death. He was released unconditionally.
Detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch are continuing to appeal to the community in Dromore to contact them if they have any information in relation to the deaths.
