PSNI attacked over RAAD raid

Police have come under attack in the Creggan area of Derry on Friday afternoon while carrying out a raid on a house in relation to paramilitary attacks.

Petrol bombs and stones were thrown at officers during the pro-active search.

A number of items - believed to be used by vigilante group RAAD - have been seized for specialist examination.

The items include a quantity of suspected firearms, believed to be similar to weapons used in attacks in the city.

A 56-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

A police spokesperson said the area was now calm.

I find it shocking that parents in Derry are taking their children to get shot, yet cant keep them under control when the police are trying to protect them!!!

The community call for the PSNI to get these people the RAAD off the streets and yet these mindless thugs no doubt rallied by RAAD supporters attack the POLICE DISGRACEFUL.

ok so this was against RAAD. funny that. they had such support from the community and local so called dissident republicans. nothing changes up here then. just a different banner for the same people to line there pockets.
