Long tailbacks were reported when the westbound motorway was closed between Sprucefield and Moira, following the crash shortly after 6am on Monday.
Roads Service estimated it would take four hours to transfer the vehicle's load before the clean-up operation could begin, but the motorway reopened at around 3.30pm.
