The woman died in the fire in the George's Lane area of the city on Saturday night.

Police have not released the woman's name, but said she was a 38-year-old, originally from Birmingham in England.

Police have ruled out foul play in their investigation. Initially they treated the fire as suspicious, however, following forensic testing and a post mortem examination they have confirmed the woman died in a tragic accident.

Police remain at the scene and their investigations continue.

Detectives are particularly keen to speak with two men in connection with the incident.

At around 11pm, the men were seen walking down Mill Street and stopped at the junction of George's Lane.

One of the men proceeded on to George's Lane. Both observed the fire before raising the alarm.

Police have appealed for the men, and anyone who may have information in connection with the fire, to contact them.
