Peter Wilson, 21, disappeared in 1973
A new name has been added to the list of IRA victims abducted, shot and secretly buried.

Peter Wilson, 21, went missing from his west Belfast home in the early 1970s and it is reported that he may have been abducted and murdered by the IRA.

A report has been made to the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains.

A spokesman has confirmed the case is at an early stage and that they are investigating where the remains might be located.

SDLP MLA Alex Attwood said Sinn Fein had insisted the IRA had conveyed all information to the commission.

"It now transpires there may be another victim who was killed and disappeared and that info was not previously brought to the attention of the commission."

"It's now entirely proper to ask a further question - are there other people killed by the IRA who have never been identified or accounted for, publicly or to the commission? He asked.

"This is a reasonable question to ask and one that needs an answer."

The most recent Disappeared victim to be identified was another west Belfast man, Danny McIlhone.

In December 2008, remains found on a remote hillside at Ballynultagh, near the village of Lacken in the Wicklow Mountains, were confirmed to be those of the 21-year-old. who had been missing since 1981.

Mr McIlhone's family welcomed the breakthrough at the time, issuing a statement which said they were now "at peace and now have the opportunity to both give Danny a Christian burial and lay him to rest with our beloved mother and father."

But it continued: "While we have now found peace our thoughts and prayers remain with and will always be with the families whose anguish and loss continues."

Shame shame on anyone who supported terrorists from any community. No justice. No furneral. No grave. For the Catholic no Christian burial. No mass. No date of death. Just long long wait. For those who lost at their hands, deep sympathy for your loss. This is why former IRA men in government should not be there. because of the souls who suffered at their hands. and is forgotten.
