Snow is continuing to cause disruption across many parts of Northern Ireland with more wintry showers expected over the Christmas period.

While the airports here remain open, flights have been hit by the knock-on effect of closures in England and passengers have been advised to check with their airline for delays.

Motorists have also been advised to exercise caution and allow extra time for their journeys.

A number of primary schools have been closed because of the adverse weather conditions.

According to the Met Office, another widespread frost is expected on Tuesday night with temperatures plummeting to -4 Celsius.
