A hint of summer is being felt across parts of Northern Ireland, with more sunshine than of late and temperatures pushing into the early 20s.

After recent flooding incidents, it's a welcome relief and looks set to continue into the weekend.

But according to the Met Office, the pleasant conditions could be short-lived.

While Thursday and Friday look like providing the best of the weather, the rain could come creeping back by Saturday and persist into next week.

But, unlike persistent downpours which led to serious flooding in areas like Belfast and parts of Co Down, there's still a chance of some breaks between the admittedly heavy showers.

Longer term, the weather looks set to remain changeable throughout August and temperatures are unlikely to provide any kind of 'heatwave'.

So, best to make the most of any glimpse of sunshine when it's there!

And if you've been enjoying the summer, whatever the weather, you can send us your snaps to have them featured in our Hint of Summer gallery!
