Murder inquiry into death of baby

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a baby who was critically injured during an incident in east Belfast last month.

It happened in the Connsbrook Avenue area of the city on the morning of 7 March.
The child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Belfast for treatment, but has now died.
A woman was arrested at the time and detained under the Mental Health Act.
Police have said that their investigations are continuing.
