Murder bid charge over Glenarm shots

A 44-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting incident in the Glens of Antrim.

The accused was arrested in Broughshane in the early hours of Saturday morning after shots were fired through the front window of a house in the Drumcrow Road area of Glenarm.

Up to four shots were fired at around 2.15am.

A man and woman in their 60s and their son, who is aged in his 30s, were inside the house at the time.

The arrested man is also charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and failing to comply with conditions of a firearm certificate.
