Recep Cetin is expected to appear alongside his father Eyup Cetin who is also charged with the double murder of Cathy Dinsmore and Marion Graham.

The two friends were found stabbed to death in woodland close to the Turkish city of Izmir in August 2011.

Recep Cetin is the former boyfriend of Marion Graham's teenage daughter Shannon.

He claimed to be 17 years old when he was arrested - which means he could have been tried in a juvenile court, potentially facing a much lighter sentence if found guilty.

However, in April, initial results from bone marrow tests revealed that Recep Cetin was 22-years-old.

Further bone marrow test results are due to verify the accused's age.

If Cetin is tried as an adult he could face life imprisonment for the double murder.

Baris Kaska, the lawyer representing the victims' families, told UTV that a judge at Izmir's First Juvenile Penalty Court agreed on Friday to move Recep Cetin's file to an adult court along with his father's.

Both father and son are expected to appear in court later this month.

Members of the Dinsmore and Graham families are believed to be travelling to Turkey for the trial.
