Motorcyclist, 68, dies in Lisburn crash

Police have named a 68-year-old motorcyclist who died in a road crash near Lisburn on Tuesday.

George Desmond Sherlock suffered fatal injuries after his red Honda motorcycle was involved in a collision with a blue Volkswagen Passat and a silver Volkswagen Golf on the Glebe Road, Annahilt at around 3.20pm.

The road reopened on Tuesday night after it was closed to traffic.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw any of the vehicles in the area in the time leading up to the collision to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple on the non-emergency number 101.
