It happened on the New Line road shortly before 7.50am.
Part of the road was closed for a time, but has since re-opened.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
Forty-two people have now been killed on Northern Ireland roads so far this year.
Stewart Dickson, Alliance East Antrim MLA, said that he is "deeply saddened" that another life has been lost on the roads.
"I would like to extend my sympathies to the family and friends of this young man.
"We must do more to ensure that no more lives are needlessly lost on our roads. Even one death on our roads is one too many. We must share the road to zero."
