A man who has been missing from his Newry home for five days had been told he has just weeks to live.
Francis Hanna has not been seen by his family since Sunday afternoon and they are increasingly concerned for his safety.
The 62-year-old is terminally ill with cancer and had been told just before he went missing that he had two weeks to live.
His niece Alicia Lennon broke down as she told uUTV the whole family just wants him home.
"He went for chemo so it was giving him a bit of hope, but a nurse had told him that he only had two weeks to live and from that he started going down hill," she said.
"He's got a wife, kids. I'm his niece and he's so close to his brother, my father. And he's got loads of brothers and sisters and everyone is out searching.
"We've left photos in Warrenpoint direction and in Newry, we've been looking all over. The canal was dragged on Tuesday, but no body was found - as far as I know, they were putting boats out today."
CCTV
According to Mr Hanna's niece, CCTV footage showed him going as far as the Abbey National in Newry's Hill Street area. His family also believe he may have taken a taxi from the rank outside the Ulster Bank.
In an emotional appeal to her uncle, Ms Lennon said: "Please come home, Frank - your family are looking for you ... We just want you home."
Frank Hanna is described as approximately 5ft 4 in height, of medium build, and bald with a bushy moustache.
When last seen in the Water Street area of Newry, he was wearing a dark green and black waterproof jacket, black cardigan, grey and white striped shirt, black bottoms and black shoes. He also has a number of tattoos on his knuckles and forearms.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Margaret Street, Hill Street or the Canal between 1pm and 1.30pm on Sunday, 1 November, and believes they may have seen Mr Hanna to contact them.
