The tremor had a magnitude of 1.1 and was recorded at 9.20pm in the Inishowen area.
It was picked up by the British Geological Survey's equipment.
This latest tremor was of a lesser magnitude than the quake felt in the same area on 26 January.
A magnitude of 2.2 was recorded in Buncrana.
The island of Ireland is generally classed as having low seismicity.
The largest quake to hit the country happened in 1951. The magnitude 3.7 tremor occurred sixteen kilometres off the shore of Co Wicklow on the east coast.
