Men deny Glenshane Pass killing
Two Maghera men have denied killing a man whose body was found in a field off the Glenshane Pass last year.

In the dock of Londonderry Crown Court sitting in Belfast, 31-year-old Niall Regan and 41-year-old Robert Porter both pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of Gregory Paul Woods.

The body of 41-year-old Mr Woods, from Castledawson, was found close to the Ponderosa Bar in February 2008. It is not known exactly when he died, but it is thought to have happened sometime between February 2nd and February 6th.

Lawyers for Regan, from Largantogher Park and Porter, Ballynahone Road, said they would be seeking expert reports on issues of pathology, metereology and soil before the trial next year.

Mr Justice Hart released both men on bail and told them to keep in touch with their solicitors.
