A fourth man, aged 42, was arrested in Co Antrim on Monday afternoon.
They have been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station for questioning over the killing of Sean McParland on 17 February 1994.
The 55-year-old was shot while he was babysitting at Skegoniel Avenue and died a week later.
A number of properties were also searched in north Belfast as part of the operation.
The 47-year-old is also being questioned about the murders of Gary Convie, 24, and Eamon Fox, 44, on 17 May 1994.
The pair were sitting in their car at a building site in North Queen Street on 17 May 1994 when a gunman opened fire with a sub-machine gun.
