Masked men rob east Belfast shop

Police are hunting for two masked and armed men who robbed an east Belfast shop on Monday.

At around 10pm, the men - one armed with a suspected firearm - entered the Albertbridge Road business.

They made off with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes in the direction of Glenallen Street.

One of the men is described as being around 6ft tall, of medium build and was wearing a dark-coloured fleece, white tracksuit bottoms, gloves and a baseball cap.

The other man was described as being approximately 6ft and of medium build and was wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark bottoms and dark trainers.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact police.
