Man's body found in River Foyle

Police have recovered the body of a man from the banks of the River Foyle.

He was found at around 10.15am on Saturday morning.

Officers are trying to identify the man who is aged between 50 and 60, and around 5' 10" tall with wispy reddish grey hair.

A post mortem will be carried out but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police said the man was wearing a brown waxed jacket, blue jeans, blue and white checked shirt, black shoes and socks. He also had a set of dentures.

Anyone with more information has been asked to come forward.
