Man charged over crossbow robbery

A 31-year-old man has been charged in relation to an armed robbery at a shop on Belfast's Lisburn Road.

A man entered the premises armed with a crossbow and hammer on Thursday at around 9.50pm.

It is not believed that anything was taken during the incident and no one was harmed.

A man arrested at the scene has since been charged with robbery and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
