Man treated for serious burns

A 40-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital following a fire in Plumbridge, Co Tyrone.

He received severe burns to his right side in the blaze which broke out at a bungalow in the Tullagherin Road area on Sunday at 11.30pm.

Fire fighters treated the man at the scene before he was taken to Altangelvin Hospital by ambulance and then transferred to the Royal Victoria in Belfast.

The PSNI are not treating the fire as suspicious at this stage.
