Two men, one armed with a suspected firearm, forced their way into the Wesley Street property on Sunday shortly before 8pm.

The thieves, who had their faces covered, made off with a lap-top computer, television, bank cards and a sum of cash.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was treated in hospital for his injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.

It is believed that the men may have left the area in a car. Police are appealing to anyone who saw any suspect vehicles in the Wesley Street area on Sunday evening to get in touch.

One of the robbers is described as being approximately 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, wearing a balaclava, black puffa style jacket and faded jeans.

The second thief is described as being of similar height and build, wearing a hooded top and had a white scarf covering his face.
