Man threatened with machete during theft

A man has been threatened with a machete during an attempted robbery at his east Belfast home.

Three men forced their way into the house in the Upper Newtownards Road area at around 12.30m on Friday.
One of the men was armed with a machete and the gang demanded cash from the 62-year-old resident.
The would-be robbers left empty handed.
The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
