Man shot in both legs in west Belfast

A man in his 30s has been shot in the legs at a house in west Belfast.

It happened in the Corrib Avenue area on Friday evening.

At around 6.50pm, two men reportedly forced their way into a house and carried out the attack, shooting the man in both knees and both ankles.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment on his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening at this stage.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has further information is asked to call the PSNI.
