A man is in a serious condition in hospital after a two vehicle road traffic collision in north Belfast.

It occurred on Frederick Street on Tuesday night.

Police attended the scene.

A PSNI spokesperson said that the road would remain closed for several hours.

Diversions are in place.

There are no further details.

That junction is now deadly because cars are parked in the inside lane at Frederick Street and traffic coming from Dunbar Link is then competing as two lanes are squeezed into one. Double yellow lines in Frederick Street would solve this.
