Man robbed after leaving ATM machine

A 47-year-old man has been robbed after using a cash machine in the Botanic area of south Belfast.

He was making his way back to his car, which he had parked on India Street, on Wednesday at about 8am when he was punched on the head.

When he turned around, there were two men standing behind him, one of whom appeared to have a knife.

He demanded that the man handed over his watch, phone and cash which his accomplice took. Both men then ran off towards Wolsley Street.

The first man is described as being aged between 20-25, medium build, around 5ft 8in tall with dark brown or black short hair and clean shaven.

The second man is described as being around 5ft 8in tall and of medium build. Both were wearing dark or grey clothing.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information about the robbery to contact them.
