A man has been remanded in custody accused of a spate of burglaries on commercial premises in Belfast city centre.
Jason Thompson, 36, is alleged to have inflicted losses of more than 10,000 through raids on businesses over the last month.
Belfast Magistrates Court heard five laptop computers were recovered from his home following his arrest.
Thompson, of Tates Avenue, Belfast, faces four counts of burglary and theft, and a further charge of attempted burglary and theft.
The alleged offences occurred on dates between November 20 and December 12.
It is claimed that he stole laptops and cash during some of the break-ins.
The court was told Thompson was arrested after being identified on CCTV footage from one of the premises.
It was also disclosed that the estimated total loss to the businesses was in excess of 10,000.
A defence lawyer who sought bail for Thompson claimed he could be curfewed or even banned from the city centre.
But remanding him in custody until January 11, District Judge Fiona Bagnall said: "I wouldn't have confidence the conditions would to go assuage my concerns."
