A man has been remanded in custody accused of an attempted murder in south Belfast.
Peter McFadden, 36, was arrested following an alleged stabbing at a house on the Ormeau Road on Tuesday.
The wounded man was taken to hospital, although his condition was not disclosed.
McFadden, from Belfast, faced three charges when he appeared before the city's magistrates court.
He is accused of the attempted murder of Joseph Keelan, and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
The third alleged offence involved attempted criminal damage to a police car window.
After a detective constable said he could connect him to the charges a defence lawyer confirmed bail was not being sought.
McFadden was remanded in custody to appear again next month.
