Man released over west Belfast death

A 36-year-old man, who was arrested by detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in west Belfast, has been released without charge.

The body of the 30-year-old, who has been named locally as Eimear Clarke, was discovered at a house in the Derryveagh Close area of the city after officers were called to the scene at about 6.25am on Sunday.Police said her death is being treated as suspicious."A post-mortem examination has taken place but police await the results of further tests," a PSNI spokesman said on Monday night.Police said the man, who was detained on Sunday in connection with the death, has been released "unconditionally".Investigations are ongoing.
