Man released over west Belfast death

A 36-year-old man, who was arrested by detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in west Belfast, has been released without charge.

The body of the 30-year-old, who has been named locally as Eimear Clarke, was discovered at a house in the Derryveagh Close area of the city after officers were called to the scene at about 6.25am on Sunday.

Police said her death is being treated as suspicious.

"A post-mortem examination has taken place but police await the results of further tests," a PSNI spokesman said on Monday night.

Police said the man, who was detained on Sunday in connection with the death, has been released "unconditionally".

Investigations are ongoing.

This man has been lambasted all over social media from what I could see, and he could potentially have nothing to do with this poor girls death. I totally feel for this girls family and what they are going through.
