Man released over Belleek hit-and-run

A man arrested in Co Donegal in connection with a suspected hit-and-run incident in Co Fermanagh on Sunday has been released without charge.

A man in his 50s was killed in the incident on the Tullychurry Road area of Belleek just before 3am on Sunday.Police believe he was struck by a car which failed to stop at the scene and appealed for information on a blue Ford Focus with damage to the front end of the vehicle.A man, in his early 40s, was arrested by Garda in the Pettigo area of Donegal on Sunday at around 5pm - he was later released.His car was seized and is being forensically examined.A Gardaí spokesperson said a file is being prepared for the DPP.
