Teenager raped in east Belfast
A 21-year-old man arrested by police investigating a rape in east Belfast has been released pending further enquiries.

A teenager was attacked from behind in the early hours of Saturday morning, dragged into an alleyway behind the Great Eastern bar on the Newtownards Road and seriously sexually assaulted.

The 19-year-old received hospital treatment following the incident.

On Saturday, police appealed for a taxi driver to come forward as a possible witness.

He picked up a young woman in pyjamas and a coat close to MacDonald's on the Newtownards Road shortly before the attack and dropped her off at a convenience store.
