Man injured during burglary in Larne

A man has been taken to hospital after he was attacked by two men, one of whom was carrying a hammer, during an aggravated burglary in Larne, Co Antrim.

The incident happened at around 11pm on Tuesday in the Bank Road area.

The victim, in his 20s, required treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

One of the suspects is described as being approximately 6' 2" tall, of medium build and the other is described as being taller and also of medium build.

Both were wearing dark coloured clothing.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to contact them.
