Man held over PSNI attempted murder

A man is being questioned by police investigating the attempted murder of a police officer, after a pipe bomb was left under his car.

Dissident republicans have been blamed for planting the device outside the policeman's home in the Upper Newtownards Road area of Belfast in December 2012.
The officer was taking his wife and two children out for lunch on a Sunday afternoon when he discovered the bomb.
Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch arrested a 36-year-old man in west Belfast on Monday morning.
He has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
