He was detained on Sunday under the Terrorism Act in connection with the trouble which erupted in the Co Antrim town on 30 March.

The man, who is believed to be the tenth person arrested in connection with the incident, has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

A 35-year-old was also detained in the town on Saturday.

The PSNI has blamed the attacks on the south-east Antrim UDA.

Crowds of up to 100 people were involved in disorder in the Knockdhu Park and Ferris Avenue areas.

They smashed the homes of two families and also damaged cars. A man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted by the gang.

Police reported that they were also attacked at the scene and one officer required hospital treatment after suffering a head injury.

To date, one man has been charged in connection with the disorder.
