The man has been taken to Antrim police station for questioning.

Police are also searching a property in Antrim after an investigation in the area.

Detectives believe the killer may have been living there following a significant lead into the killing of the 72-year-old.

Mr Acheson suffered a heart attack after he confronted a robber at his Glenmore Gardens home in the early hours of Monday 30 April.

The intruder stole a purse from his 70-year-old disabled wife, before making off with £375.

Mrs Acheson raised the alarm but by the time ambulance personnel and police arrived her husband was dead.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Harrison, in charge of the investigation, had said that police have been trawling through footage from more than 80 CCTV systems.

They have also visited 240 houses and taken 200 statements from members of the public.

Crimestoppers is offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man responsible for Bertie's murder.
