A man is being held under the Terrorism Act after three suspected firearms were seized by police in north Belfast.

Officers raided two houses in the Hillman Street and Little Georges Street areas on Thursday morning.

A 49-year-old was arrested in connection with the suspected guns and other items.

He remains in police custody.

A 17-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
