Several men burst into a house at Henry Street in the town at about 11.30pm on Tuesday.

A number of shots were fired at the victim, who was left badly shaken.

Sinn Féin MLA Daithi McKay said: "The people who carried out this attack are living in the past and there is no reason for bringing guns onto the street.

"The entire community are opposed to these attacks and the people behind them need to go away. Anyone with information on this attack should bring it forward to the PSNI."

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
