A man has been arrested over a rape in Newry last month.
Police say the man is in his 20's.
The arrest is in connection with the serious sexual assault of a woman in the city on February the 22nd.
Her friend was also physically hurt during the attack which took place near the courthouse.
Both women managed to get away and flagged down a passing motorist who alerted police.
