A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.

The 37-year-old victim was attacked at a house in the Dunluskin Crescent area shortly after 8pm on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his stab wounds, where he remains in a critical condition.

A 27-year-old man has been charged to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday.
