A man charged with attempted murder after another man was assaulted in Co Down is due in court on Wednesday.
The victim, who is aged in his 30s, was attacked at New Meadow Row in Castlewellan, during the early hours of Monday morning.
He was treated for a number of knife wounds to his chin and arm.
The 25 year-old accused is charged with a number of other offences including having an offensive weapon.
