Man charged over guns find

A 58-year-old man has been charged with possession of ammunition in suspicious circumstances after guns were found at a house in Ballymena.

The discovery was made as a result of a planned search operation at the Laurel Park area on Saturday afternoon.

The man is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday, 1 March.

A 38-year-old, who was also arrested, has been released.

@peter- why jump to conclusions before you know the facts surround this story. Why bring unionist areas into it, would doubt its linked to paramilitarys. The fact it says guns and ammunition were found,yet he hasnt been charged with possesion of firearms,
