Man charged over cannabis factory

A man has been charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis factory in Rostrevor, County Down.
A man has been charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis factory in Rostrevor, Co Down.

Police uncovered more than 40 plants with an estimated street value of £21,000 from a house in the Drumsesk Road area of the village on Monday.

Cultivation equipment was also seized from the property.

The 39-year-old arrested has been charged with cultivation of cannabis, possession of class B drugs and possession with intent to supply.

He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court in the New Year.
